| Moody Blues
The Moody Blues formed as a R&B landing a hit with a cover of "Go Now." A lineup change brought a change of musical direction.
The Moody Blues shot to stardom and up the charts as Mike Pinder, Ray Thomas, Graeme Edge, John Lodge and Justin Hayward combined their talents to form a talented musical force, pioneering progressive rock with their own unique style and sound.
Writing songs for a day in the life show, the stage was set for their breakthrough album. Decca records wanted a demo recording of a rock group with a classical orchestra. Not wanting to do the suggested classical piece, the band created Days of Future Past. With hits like Nights in White Satin (twice charted) and Tuesday Afternoon, a series of hits and million-selling albums began.
Decades later, the group is performing better than ever and popular with old and new fans who appreciate one thing -- great music.
Six more legendary, pioneering albums followed before the band took a five-year hiatus. Solo albums followed, along with a Lodge Hayward collaboration as the Blue Jays.
